Meet Laurie-Anne with Barack Obama!
Laurie-Anne left the suburbs of Paris in January to join another capital: Washington DC. Between her pharmacy studies and job search, she left to care for three children aged 3, 6 and 8 years. We wish her every luck with achieving all of her other goals for this year!
“For almost three months I have been an Au Pair in Washington DC, the capital of the United States. When I finalised my match with my family, I set a goal to see President Barack Obama. And thanks to my host, it was possible!! Yes, yes. Working at the White House, she surprised me with a tour to show me around and take me to the famous Easter egg hunt called the "Easter egg Roll". I was fortunate to be present when Mr. Obama left the White House to make a speech. I could not believe my eyes!
I want to thank Cultural Care for giving us the opportunity to experience events like this. And who knows? I still have several months to try to shake his hand or, better yet, give him the famous American 'hug'."
