Life as an Au Pair: Our support to you

With our 3 tier support network we make the whole journey to becoming an Au Pair easy from start to finish. It is designed to ensure a member of the Cultural Care staff is available to answer questions, solve problems and provide you with all the support you need 24 hours a day.

Your local Cultural Care Office

The Cultural Care office in your home country will be your first point of contact. All our offices are staffed by people with a wealth of experience and they are there to guide you through the application process, discuss what you are looking for in a host family and communicate with our staff in the USA on your behalf. Once you have decided upon a family they will make your travel arrangements and help prepare you for your trip.

Cultural Care Program Directors

Once in America you will have the support of a team of Cultural Care Program Directors. Program Directors are based in our Boston office and supervise our teams of LCC’s who are based around the country. Like your LCC, they are available for guidance at any time.

Cultural Care Local Representative

One of the most important faces during your year will be that of your Local Childcare Coordinators or LCC. They are members of Cultural Cares’ staff based in the areas where we have host families. The LCC interviews your host family, contacts you within 48 hours of your arrival in the US, and organizes monthly meetings with the other au pairs in the area. There is also a 24-hour toll-free emergency telephone number. Whatever the problem your Local Childcare Coordinator (LCC) is always on hand to listen, help and advise.
