You will also need to send in a copy of your high school diploma and your driver’s license.

Screening and Orientation Days

When we get your complete application, we will invite you to a mandatory screening and orientation meeting. At the meeting, you will be given more information about the program and we will do a short interview with you in English. After you have been accepted to the program we will also need a Health Certificate and a criminal record certificate, the cost of which will be your responsibility.

Host Family Selection

After your application is complete and we have checked your references, we will begin the search to find the right host family for you. Once we've found a suitable match, we will set up a phone call between you and the family. This provides the chance to talk about their household, children, and where they live, and you can ask as many questions as you like. We can even help you prepare the right ones to ask!Once the call is over, both you and the family then have time to decide if this is the right match.

Visa and Travel Arrangements

Once you've decided on your host family, we will send you the visa and insurance information and take care of your flight arrangements. Cultural Care provides free basic health and accident insurance, but we can also provide additional information about our extended insurance policies.
